Fernando Castro, Vice President, joined the firm in 2021. Fernando is an Economist for the Emerging Markets Debt team, covering Latin America. Fernando is responsible for providing country views, recommendations and action-oriented opinions pertaining to Latin America. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, Fernando worked at the World Bank Group financing projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Before the World Bank, he worked at the investment bank Barclays in New York. He was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Fernando received a BS with concentrations in Finance and Public Policy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in International Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
