NEW YORK, June 7, 2017 — Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, announced today that three of the firm’s wealth advisors ranked within the top 15 in Barron’s “Top 100 Women Advisors” in the June 5, 2017 edition. The annual list includes: Stephanie J. Stiefel at #5, Holly Newman Kroft at #9 and Virginia Guy at #13. All three work at Neuberger Berman headquarters in New York.

Ranked #5, Stephanie J. Stiefel, is a Managing Director who has been with Neuberger Berman since 1990, previously serving as Head of Wealth Management. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, Stephanie was a senior tax manager and personal financial planner for Arthur Andersen & Company, formerly a Big 8 accounting firm, where she specialized in tax consultation, financial and family wealth planning issues. She holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Ms. Stiefel received a BA from Queens College and has been a Trustee on the Foundation Board for over 20 years, where she served in numerous capacities, including Head of the Investment Committee. In 2014, Queens College honored her as Alumna of the Year. She is also a member of the Faculty of Arts and Science Board of New York University. Stephanie is a Board member of the Jewish Federation of New York where she serves on the Audit Committee and the Standards and Conflicts Committee. This is her third consecutive appearance in the top five of Top 100 Women Advisor list. In 2015 and 2016 she was ranked #3 in the country and #1 in New York.

Moving up this year to #9, Holly Newman Kroft, Managing Director, joined the firm as a Wealth Advisor in 2005. Holly works closely with ultra-high net worth individuals and their families to help develop customized investment solutions and address estate planning needs. She also focuses on addressing the unique investment needs of endowments and foundations, from identifying cash flow needs to proper asset allocation and portfolio manager proposals. Previously, Holly held investment banking positions at several institutions. She began her career in 1995 as an investment banking analyst at Oppenheimer & Company and later moved onto working at several boutique media advisory firms, specializing in private equity transactions, mergers & acquisitions and providing strategic advice to media and telecommunications companies. Ms. Kroft received a BA from the University of Michigan. This is her fourth consecutive appearance in the Top Women Advisor list and she has been ranked on Barron’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors list as well as being named #50 in New York in 2017.

Advancing to #13 on the list, Virginia Guy is a Managing Director who re-joined the firm as a Wealth Advisor in 1997. Virginia uses her experience and expertise to build customized wealth management solutions designed to help her clients achieve their unique investment goals, as well as address estate planning needs. Prior to re-joining Neuberger Berman, Virginia was the chief administrative officer and financial advisor for an ultra-high-net-worth family office. Ms. Guy attended the State University of New York, Rockland, and the New York Institute of Finance. For three consecutive years, she was ranked on Barron's Top 1,200 Financial Advisors list, and named #54 in New York in 2017. She has been on the Top Women list for four consecutive years.

“Neuberger Berman exists to serve our clients’ investment needs and these women represent the very best,” said Kenneth Rende, Head of Wealth Management at Neuberger Berman. “The fact that these advisors consistently place in the top rankings shows a level of client service that speaks to their professionalism and dedication.” Barron’s used a number of factors to determine the rankings including: assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work.
