Neuberger Berman Expands Private Equity Offering with LIQID Partnership

London, May 21, 2024 – Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, is partnering with LIQID, Germany’s pioneer in digital asset management. Through the partnership, investors in Germany can directly and cost-effectively access privately held companies from around the globe.

Neuberger Berman has an extensive and long-established $131 billion global alternatives investment platform, of which approximately $91 billion is in private equity. Since 2009, Neuberger Berman has invested in more than 400 companies together with leading private equity managers achieving a high return for its institutional investors. 

As part of the partnership, a new Private Equity Experts Committee has been created between Neuberger Berman and LIQID, which includes José Luis González Pastor (Managing Director, Neuberger Berman), Dr. Florian Heinemann (Founding Partner, Project A) and Philipp Klöckner (Advisor KKR Tech SWAT, Angel Investor & Podcaster). Additional members are set to be added during the second half of 2024.

Biography José Luis González Pastor

José Luis González Pastor is a Managing Director of Neuberger Berman in the Private Equity team and a senior member of the firm’s Private Investment Portfolios and Co-Investments group where he leads fund investments and direct co-investments. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. González worked at Qualitas Equity Partners, a Spanish Private Equity Fund focused on the Iberia middle-market. Before that, Mr. González worked as Investment Banking Analyst at DC Advisory Partners (formerly known as Atlas Capital Close Brothers and currently Daiwa Securities). Mr. González received an MBA with honors from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a MA with honors in International Studies at the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. González graduated with a BA in Business Administration and a LLB in Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE).
