Laura Toppozini, PhD, Vice President, joined the firm in 2017 following the acquisition of Breton Hill Capital Ltd. She is an Associate Portfolio Manager with a specialty in ESG investing. Laura is NB Breton Hill’s lead researcher for ESG signals and oversees the deployment of ESG methodologies across all NB Breton Hill equity strategies, a role which requires her to work closely with the firm’s ESG team. She also has portfolio management responsibilities, with a focus on the Global Sustainable Value Fund. She holds a PhD in Physics from McMaster University, where her research led to 15 publications in academic journals that include Physical Review Letters. Laura also holds a MASc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Physics from McMaster University, as well as a BSc in Physics from Lakehead University.
